Wie bewusst nehmen wir unsere Umwelt wahr? Die Druckgrafiken der Basler Künstlerin Maja Müller wirken auf den ersten Blick oft abstrakt, doch bei näherer Betrachtung offenbaren sie Objekte aus unserer Lebenswelt. Formen und Farben werden beobachtet, reduziert, erweitert, ausgetauscht, gemischt und zeigen schlussendlich eine neu-bekannte Wirklichkeit, die zum Staunen und Nachdenken einlädt.

Die Ausstellung ist Teil der Kunsttage Basel, die am 29. - 31. August stattfinden.

Offspace SPOT x HirschiHow consciously do we perceive our environment? At first glance, the prints by Basel artist Maja Müller often appear abstract, but on closer inspection they reveal objects from our everyday world. Forms and colours are observed, reduced, expanded, exchanged, mixed and ultimately reveal a newly familiar reality that invites wonder and reflection.

The exhibition is part of the Basel Art Days, which take place from 29 to 31 August.

Die wunderbaren Turbo ACs sind zurück in Europa! Nachdem sie 2024 das 20 jährige Bestehen ihrer im Jahr 2003 veröffentlichten Platte „Automatic“ gefeiert haben und eine Spezialausgabe dieses Albums auf Concrete Jungle Rec veröffentlicht wurde, juckt es Kevin und Co erneut in den Fingern, und eine ausgedehnte Herbst Tour 2025 kommt da gerade richtig. Anfang der 1990er wurden die Turbo ACs in den schäbigen Gassen des New York Cities gegründet, und sie haben seitdem ihren eigenen unverwechselbaren Surf Punk Soundgeschaffen.Es folgten zahlreiche EPs und Samplerbeiträge auf verschiedenen Labels ehe sie 1996 mit ihrem Debütalbum „Damnation Overdrive“, das auf dem New Yorker Plattenlabel Blackout! Records erschien, vor allem in Europa große Wellen schlugen. Mit der unverwechselbaren Stimme von Frontmann Kevin Cole und Elementen eines Dick Dale, Ramones, Misfits und Motörhead sind sie als die Lieblingsband so mancher RocknRoll Fans gekürt worden.Eine richtig coole Band mit richtig coolen Songs, Texten und einer Attitude zum Verlieben. Pünktlich zur Tour werden sie eine niegelnagelneue 12” Maxi Single dabei haben.

nathan roche isn't a one trick pony. he writes poetry, formed the punkish villejuf underground and experiments with sounds in c.i.a debutanté. his solo project settles a bit more in the middle of the rock spectrum, while keeping a garage, lou reed - art rock edge. talk to him about the van he once almost drove off a cliff, great story!

Ohio's dana have a great collection of bandcamp music genre tags. egg-, garage-, proto-, post-, psych-, synth-punk, avant-garde ... their extensive use of frequency analyzers and a theremin makes you think of DEVO in just seconds. Ohio must be a weird place.

market saturee is a basel based improvisation/jazz rock trio. it's groove-heavy and built to move, but the sound shifts fast - jumping from dense drones ot jagged melancholia to sheer mechanical force.

POWERSOLO is a rock and roll band formed in 1996 in Aarhus, Denmark:
Their sound- termed by the band as “Donkey Punk” is characterized by an often frantic and raucous blend of Garage, Punk, Psychobilly, Surf, and World Music.
